Summertime makes the perfect time to do family portraits outdoors. Anytime is a great time to do them in the studio! Local parks like Antioch park in Merriam, KS offer a great variety of places to make portraits!
Some suggestions:
- Wear solid colors – prints and patterns distract the eye and date the photograph.
- Wear sleeves – the focus of the image should be your faces!
- Color coordinate – Not everyone has to wear the same top, but harmony makes all the difference. Bring choices if you’re not sure!
- Pick a location or activity that you enjoy as a family.
- Think about where you’re going to display the photograph. This will determine the size. The size and location also influence how I make the photo! It’s best to have a plan.
